Close to the action of Hamburg's port

Experience an exclusive round trip on a ship through the world famous "Tidehafen", passing the ocean's giants and the astonishing container ports.
The excursion will begin directly at the so called "St. Pauli Landungsbrücken". 
The round trip through Hamburg's port - which was opened in May 07th 1189 - will be executed by the ships of the "Reederei Abicht".
Die annual celebration of the port's birthday lasts for several days and is on of the most spectacular events of Germany.
During the trip you can enjoy a delicious buffet while listening to the captain talking about the highlights and the background of the port.
The round trip will end at the evenings' location "Au Quai" at approx. 9pm.

By Air plane

Around 60 airlines fly to more than 115 destinations. Hamburg Airport is situated to the north of the city in Fuhlsbüttel. See the Hamburg Airport website for flight connections.
The CCH - Congress Center Hamburg can be reached from here by S-Bahn (S1) and taxi. The journey time to CCH by car is about 20 minutes, by public transport about 30 minutes.

By Rail Road

The Congress Center Hamburg is right next door to Dammtor InterCity rail station for the high-speed trains of German Rail and international rail connections.
From Hamburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), take S-Bahn line S21 (towards Elbgaustrasse). It is just one stop to Dammtor, and takes only two minutes. From Dammtor Station, it is only a two-minute walk to CCH.

By Car

If you come to CCH - Congress Center Hamburg by car or motor bike, it is best to take the motorways and exits shown under “Motorway travel”. Then follow the signs to “Messe / CCH”.

By Public Transportation

CCH-Congress Center Hamburg has good bus and rail connections with all the key areas of Hamburg. With an extensive network of rapid transit (S-Bahn) and underground (U-Bahn) lines, plus plenty of bus lines. CCH is easy to reach from any part of the city, thanks to its good transport connections and central location.

Stations in walking distance:
Dammtor station is right next to CCH, for InterCity trains and S-Bahn.
And U-Bahnstations Stephansplatz (Opera/CCH) and Gänsemarkt are just a short walk away, on a route that passes through a landscaped park and attractive streets.

Speaking time

Speaking time for the short presentation will be 8 minutes plus 2 minutes of discussion. If the presentation will take longer than the given time discussion will be cancelled.
To all speakers: Please take a seat in the front row at the beginning of the session.

Picture projection (Kopie aus IFDAS)

Presentations must be provided in a version of Microsoft PowerPoint. Please ensure your PowerPoint Presentations are in 16:9 or 4:3.
Speakers are advised to bring their presentation on CD-Rom or USB Memory Stick. Should your presentation be in MAC format, it is imperative that this be converted to PC format prior to arrival at the conference.

If your presentation includes movies or animations please make sure to bring them with you to the speaker ready room for uploading, even if you chose to “embed” your media files.

The use of own laptop is not advised.

Notes about poster presentation

The poster presentation will take place in the lobby in front of room 3 (exhibition). Posters can be placed on the provided partition screens from 7:30am on Thursday the 2nd of June. The number from the program will be noted on the screen. Posters can be up to 80cm wide and 150cm long.
All posters have to be put up until 9:00am on Thursday. From 4:30pm on Friday 3rd all posters can be removed again.
Speaking time for a short presentation will be 2 minutes with a maximum of 2 PowerPoint slides. Speakers are advised to bring their presentation on CD-Rom or USB Memory Stick 45 minutes prior to the session where it can be tested if everything is working. Please also remember the guidelines for the picture projection above.
The authors will be asked to be present afterwards for any further discussion. Please see the times in the program.
The award ceremony for the poster presentation will be on Thursday 2nd during the opening night.
The posters are to be removed by no later than 3:00pm on Saturday 4th.
After this all the screens will be dismantled. Left behind poster cannot be forwarded.

Furthermore you have the possibility to publish your poster in the "International Poster Journal (IPJ)".

For this to happen please upload your poster on the International Poster Journal of Dentistry and Oral Medicine (IPJ) until May 18th.

Awards presentation

Scientific Award

The scientific award of the DGMKG will be presented during the congress opening on Thursday June 2nd in Room 4 of the CCH.
The amount of the award money is 5.000,00 €.
The scientific award for the best written scientific paper is known as the most important award of the DGMKG.
The choice will be made anonymously by five former recipients.


 

Poster Award

As every year there’ll also be a price for the best poster presentation this year. The amount of the award money will be 1.000,00€
For the selection there will be certain criteria: Scientific content, actuality as well as form and design of the presentation
